January Beauty Favorites (2020) | Beauty and Skin Care

Everyone has beauty favorites, right? I mostly use green beauty products because I have very sensitive skin, but once in a while I use not-so-green beauty products too. I do use some vegan luxury beauty products, but most are affordable and can be purchased on different web sites or stores like Ulta, Sephora, and department stores.
Without further ado, here are my favorites for the month of January, divided into skin care and beauty:
Skin Care Favorites
Life-Flo Organic Pure Baobob Oil, 2 oz ($14.14)
I have found when I have used facial oils that contain baobob oil, my eczema calms down significantly. My skin goes from being scaly, itchy, and red to soft and calm in about a day or two of using it. I generally just use it in areas where I am prone to get eczema flare-ups and found that it works well as a preventative for eczema as well as a treatment for flare-ups.
It is a thicker oil, so if you have acne-prone skin, use it in a small area to see if you have a reaction to it. I have acne-prone skin and haven't had any problems with it though.
I have purchased this oil on Vitacost's web site, but you can purchase it on Life Flo's web site, Amazon's web site, iHerb's web site, and many other vitamin web sites.
5th Dimension Sub Rosa Serum - Hemp & Rose Face Oil, 1 oz ($38)
I use this oil all over my face and find that it is very calming and moisturizing. I have very dry skin, so this helps to maintain a good moisture balance and I can also wear it under foundation without it breaking my foundation up. I find that this is a great everyday moisturizer.
I have purchased this oil on Petit Vour's web site, but you can purchase it on 5th Dimension's web site.
Odacite Black Mint Cleanser, 3.38 oz ($39)
I alternate between this cleanser and the OSEA Ocean Cleanser and find both to be great at washing off my makeup without drying my skin. I double cleanse my skin with a micellar water first, then this cleanser and find that it gets all of my makeup off. The cleanser is black, but I haven't found that it stains my washcloths or clothing. When it suds (very slightly), it turns grey, but then washes easily away. At first, the charcoal smell was a little off-putting, but I found that I don't even notice it now. It gives a nice tingly feeling after washing because of the tea tree and peppermint.
I have purchased this face wash on Petit Vour's web site, but you can get it at Odacite's web site, Nordstrom's web site, and Amazon's web site.

Beauty Favorites
Antonym Certified Natural Eye Pencil in Noir and Brown, ($19)
I like this eye pencil because it goes on incredibly smooth, does not pull or scratch, and comes with a built-in pencil sharpener. I also find that once I give it about thirty seconds, it doesn't really budge from my eyes, so it lasts all day and has incredible pigment. It is a little expensive, but I like that is is certified organic and lasts quite a while.
I have purchased this eyeliner on Petit Vour's web site, but you can purchase it on Antonym's web site.
Kani Botanicals Lip + Cheek Tint Balm in Duchess, ($28)
I like this lip and cheek tint because it gives a beautiful, natural flush to the cheeks. I don't like to cross-contaminate makeup products, so I just decided to use it on my cheeks. It lasts all day, doesn't fade or clump up in patches, and is very easy to apply. This is expensive for a blush, but a little goes such a long way that I think it would expire before anyone could get through the entire jar.
I found this color exclusively on Petit Vour's web site, but you can check Kani Botanicals web site as well. It is currently sold out on Petit Vour's web site, but they are good about restocking items.
Ace Beaute Vintage Dawn Palette, ($34.99)
I received this palette as one of the choices in my Boxycharm subscription box. I took a look at Ace Beaute's web site as well and I found a lot of their palettes are very pretty. I liked this palette because the mattes are pigmented (but not too pigmented, so you can add more if you like a more saturated color), they blend very easily, and last all day with an eye primer. The shimmer colors are pigmented and last all day. The entire palette is beautiful and I have been able to create a lot of colorful looks with it. I would purchase this palette again in the future. I'm not sure if Ace Beaute's eyeshadow palettes are permanent, but I would order another palette from them even if they didn't carry Vintage Dawn any longer.
You can purchase this palette on Ace Beaute's web site. I haven't seen any other web sites where you can purchase their makeup that I really trust.
Lilah b. Divine Duo Lip & Cheek in b. true, ($46)
Trust me, I know. This is expensive, but it's so pretty. I use this as a lip product (it wears like a creamy lipstick). It is creamy, non-drying, doesn't settle into any lines, doesn't bleed outside of your lip line, and wears off beautifully. I have found that it stays on pretty well until I eat food. It does come off on cups when I drink, but not much, so it's not messy. The packaging is so beautiful and you can carry it around in your purse without worrying it'll make a mess. I've used it a lot so far and haven't even put a dent in it, so it will last a long time.
I have purchased this on Petit Vour's web site, but you can also get this on Lilah Beauty's web site, Sephora's web site, and on Nordstrom's web site.
